Responsibilities

1. Assist the research and administrative activities on a firm academic basis at Pattanam Regional Office. 2. Supervise and co-ordinate administrative activities including construction. 3. The other responsibilities include teaching, field activities, providing assistance and leadership for inhouse field research, documentation, publication and training activities, preparation of projects, reports, budget proposals and study material, organizing academic events, advocacy and liaising with national and international agencies, universities, research institutions and government departments and any other duty including teaching and field studies as and when assigned.

Kerala Council for Historical Research [KCHR] is an autonomous institution committed to scientific research in history and social sciences. Funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Kerala, KCHR is a recognised research centre of the University of Kerala.

KCHR is located at Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala State, India , in the multi-purpose cultural complex Vyloppilly Samskrithi Bhavan, at Nalanda.
